It doesnt matter how many times you get it wrong... its the one time you get it right that counts!!!

Case in point:

There is a specifc breathing pattern commonly used by yoga practitioners to provide a natural burst of energy, with the awesome side effect of toning up your abs and strengthening your lungs.

It's called " the breath of fire" and it packs a punch, so much so that many people advise that you don't do it before bedtime, as it may keep you awake.

Anywho...

The instructions for this breathing pattern can be confusing, espeically if you don't have a small knowledge of anatomy. Specifically, you need to know that there is a set of abs that most people are not aware of or just plain neglect because they can't see them. Can you blame them? After all, we live in a culture that is based on a culture that prized aesthics over many things, namely the ancient greeks. The abdominal development of our predecessors is something to be envied, with the exception of the dragon himself: Bruce Lee.

Anywho, this second set of non-visible ab muscles is responsible for keeping your spine and straight, and helping us exhale air powerfully and explosively.

Now... What does these secret ab muscle have to do with the breath of fire?

Well...

After having done it wrong for quite sometime, and having now a basic knowledge of anatomy, I can perform the exercise properly and reap the benefits thereof.

You may be wondering: what changed for me?

Well, I switched my focus, for one. Instead of focusing on pulling in my abdominal muscles to produce the powerful, rapid exhalations necessary... I switched my focus to exhaling powerful.

Now... These may seem like the same thing, but if you looka t those two statements again, you'll see that they are totally different.

What's the difference?

Focus!!!
